​​​​​​​​​​The opportunities and challenges of a new banking model

On 30 November 2023, at the Nuova Fiera di Roma, the BCC Iccrea Group celebrated the 60th anniversary of Iccrea Banca with a conference dedicated to a great achievement:

“The Cooperative Banking Group: the opportunities and challenges of a new banking model. The 60 'different' years of Iccrea, from Istituto Centrale delle Casse Rurali e Artigiane to parent company of the BCC Iccrea Group”.

The conference featured the contributions of important institutional, academic and entrepreneurial professionals, who were invited to share their experiences with BCCs.

The discussion covered our history, from the establishment of Iccrea (1963) to the birth of the Cooperative Banking Group (2019). A history at the service of BCCs and local communities, with the task of supporting their growth in pursuit of efficiency, responsibility and sustainability!

The event was addressed by the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Fabio Panetta, for his first public appearance in Italy.

Present for the opening, after the introduction by BCC Iccrea Group Chair Giuseppe Maino, were Augusto Dell'Erba, Chair of Federcasse, Alessandro Azzi, Chair of Fondazione Tertio Millennio ETS and Maurizio Gardini, Chair of Confcooperative.
