The Iccrea Cooperative Banking Group aims to strengthen the
stability of its Participating Banks, facilitating the achievement of
efficiency levels that are adequate for the markets of reference, compliance with Supervisory Provisions, as well as fostering the
development of the shareholders and the local communities they operate in,
cooperation and
education on savings and welfare, as well as
social cohesion and the
responsible and sustainable growth of the surrounding regions.
In compliance with the mutualistic aims of the
BCCs, the Group provides the individual banking cooperatives
with a strategic management unit through the parent company, ensuring:
- Adherence to relevant national and European laws.
- The prevention and solving of possible Group crises and the stability of the BCCs and of the Group as a whole.
- Cost containment also through economies of scale.
- A greater ability to be competitive and to invest by offering products, services and organizational and technological solutions which satisfy market requirements.
Three strategic business areas
The Group comprises
banking, financial and instrumental companies controlled by Iccrea Banca, which provide
support and services to BCCs to help them grow.
In order to effectively support the Group's BCCs in their relationship with their customers and cover the full range of banking, financial and insurance products and services, the Group's companies have been divided into
three strategic business areas:
Institutional, Retail and Corporate.
